About the Cleveland Foundation
Neighborhood Connections is a small grants program affiliated with the Cleveland Foundation.
Established in 1914, the Cleveland Foundation is the world’s first community foundation. Today, it is made up of more than 1,300 funds representing individuals, families, organizations, and corporations.
As the region’s largest grantmaking organization, the foundation distributed $83 to Cleveland area nonprofit organizations in 2008, with assets of more than $1.8 billion.
The foundation’s mission is to improve the lives of Greater Clevelanders now and for generations to come by building community endowment, addressing needs through grantmaking, and providing leadership on vital issues.
